Industrial Expertise at the Service of Demanding OEM Partners

Multidisciplinary Capabilities

Fewer contacts. Greater control.

For over 40 years, MetalPlast has been designing and industrialising complex parts and sub-assemblies for major automotive manufacturers. Our strength lies in mastering several complementary technologies — plastics processing, metalworking and textile manufacturing – all coordinated from our integrated design office.

This integrated model enables us to meet every technical specification across small, medium and large production runs. We combine the responsiveness of a human-scale organisation with the rigour of an established industrial player.

Design

From brief to prototype: an integrated, responsive design office

Design is the starting point of every MetalPlast project. Our design office leads projects in active, dynamic collaboration with our clients.

We deploy the industry’s reference tools and methodologies. CAD modelling of parts ensures dimensional accuracy and guarantees series performance. Rheological studies are essential to validate the injection process before committing to costly tooling investments. Finally, physical prototyping validates design intent, assembly and fitment prior to any industrialisation.

Plastics Processing

Three processes. One consolidated area of expertise.

Plastics processing is MetalPlast’s historical core. We master three complementary processes – plastic injection moulding, thermoforming and thermocompression – enabling us to address widely varying geometries, materials and volumes through a single point of contact.

Plastic injection moulding allows us to produce precise technical parts at production rates aligned with OEM requirements. Thermoforming is our preferred process for large surface areas and complex thin-walled shapes — particularly relevant for interior trim, panels and boot liners. Thermocompression extends our range to parts based on composite or fibrous materials.

This triple process expertise is a genuine differentiating advantage: few SMEs of our size offer this level of technical versatility.

Metal Parts

Sheet metal as a natural extension of plastics processing

Because the highest-performing products often combine plastic and metal, MetalPlast has developed its own in-house sheet metal capability. Fixing brackets, structural supports, assembly reinforcements: we design and industrialise the metal components that complement our plastic assemblies, ensuring interface consistency and the mechanical integrity of sub-assemblies.

This ability to work both materials in-house – or through our network of qualified partners – allows us to deliver complete kits, without the client having to coordinate multiple separate suppliers.

Textile Manufacturing

Technical textile solutions for cabin and interior fitment

MetalPlast masters the manufacturing of technical parts in textile materials — carpeting, coated fabrics, assembled foams — for vehicle interior equipment. Custom floor mats, linings, trims, functional upholstery elements: we work on both straightforward parts and highly technical assemblies.

Supported by a network of European toolmakers and industrial partners selected for their exacting standards, we specialise in small and medium production runs — where responsiveness and precision take precedence over large-scale cost optimisation alone.

This textile expertise, combined with our plastics and metalworking capabilities, makes MetalPlast one of the rare players able to deliver complete, multi-material interior sub-assemblies from a single source.

Electronics & Mechanics

MetalPlast designs and assembles ready-to-integrate technical sub-assemblies.

MetalPlast masters the integration of active functions directly into its products: autonomous lighting on door sills, declutching mechanisms on seat armrests, custom fixing and articulation systems.

This dual electronics and mechanics expertise enables the delivery of finished, installation-ready parts that meet the functional and aesthetic requirements of vehicle manufacturers.
